For an almost three-decade career, I have served in the Department of Defense and Oregon state government, supporting worldwide U.S. military operations, establishing international agreements, and serving Oregonians in need. Along the way, I learned to navigate change, solve problems, and strengthen organizations entrusted to serve others.
Durante una carrera de casi tres décadas, he trabajado en el Departamento de Defensa y en el gobierno del estado de Oregón, apoyando operaciones militares estadounidenses en todo el mundo, estableciendo acuerdos internacionales y sirviendo a los habitantes de Oregón que más lo necesitan. My career has taught me that leadership is not about maintaining the status quo. It’s about solving problems, strengthening organizations, and preparing them for the future. That’s the same philosophy I bring to the Independence City Council.
Mi carrera me ha enseñado que el liderazgo no consiste en mantener el statu quo. Se trata de resolver problemas, fortalecer las organizaciones y prepararlas para el futuro. Esa es la misma filosofía que llevo al Concejo Municipal de Independence.
Raised in a military family, public service was a way of life. Living in Germany, Thailand, Italy, and across the United States taught me adaptability, respect for different perspectives, and the importance of strong communities and the institutions that support them.
Criada en una familia militar, el servicio público era una forma de vida. Vivir en Alemania, Tailandia, Italia y en distintas partes de los Estados Unidos me enseñó a adaptarme, a respetar diferentes perspectivas y a valorar la importancia de comunidades sólidas y de las instituciones que las apoyan.
